He is two weeks old - and gorgeous. He is feeding well and getting to be a chubby little thing. He has perfected his Queen Victoria impression and quite often pulls his "we are not amused" face whilst asleep. I could sit for hours and watch the different expressions flit across his face. I wonder if Emma visits him in his dreams. I have told him about her. I remember reading "An Exact Replica ..." and crying when Elizabeth McCracken describes whispering Pudding's story into the ear of newborn baby Gus. The night he was born, I did the same for Toby. I described Emma to him. It pleases me that he will grow up hearing her name spoken.
Here he is:

Oh, he's just so lovely Jill. xx
What a beautiful boy.
Ohhh he's adorable.x
Ooooo he is so cute! And don't worry about being absent - I think we've earned the right to be as selective as we want about the times we post, having our new little ones about! I am going to write a post on my blog now, but it's been just about 10 days since the last one! :D XXXXX
So darling! So perfect and darling. thanks for sharing toby's photos!
Perfect! He is adorable.
Congratulations.
Jill, you post as infrequently as you like. But keep popping in with pictures when you can - I love looking at your gorgeous little boy. He is just so adorable, and I'd choose snuggles over posting, too. :)
Toby is just gorgeous. Glad you are enjoying all your cuddle time with him!
Gorgeous boy, Jill.
xo
Oh he is so precious... so cozy in his carseat, perfect baby face in the middle one, and so alert after his bath!
What a sweet little boy!!
Toby is perfect and I think it's wonderful that you have been telling him Emma's story. We are open with our girls too about their brother and our love for him. I also wouldn't be blogging much if I had a precious bundle of love in my arms either but it is so good to know you are both doing well...Hugs
He is so beautiful. I love seeing him so content in your arms. (((Jill)))
Just the sweetest... I have taken SO many pictures of Bella - looked at her little body in such detail - the curve of her back when she's laying over my arm (usually when I'm cleaning up poo!), her little ears with little hairs, her eyes, her tiny nose, the hairline appearing at her temple; the little chubby knees; her toes, fingers, eyelashes, mouth, expressions. Everything.
You know it's like, Josie was a small piece of the best chocolate in the world and then I didn't get to have any more because she died. Then when Bella was born, it was like being gifted with an abundance of this chocolate. Now I'm sitting here gorging myself because of two reasons: 1) I can, and 2) I am still slightly paranoid that everything will suddenly cease to exist, so I am stuffing myself...
XxxX
beautiful boy!
